Northeastern Fences Proudly Serves Hudson
Here at Northeastern Fences, we regularly install fences designed primarily for security, but a fence can do a lot more than that — from beautiful Whitewood stockade fences to elegant ornamental aluminum fencing, Northeastern Fences can take a yard to a whole new level of charm.
That might partially explain why we have such a deep appreciation for Hudson, a city that reemerged from a decline and, with love and energy from longtime residents and newcomers alike, reclaimed and amplified its historic beauty.
Northeastern Fences is based in nearby Selkirk, and Hudson has long been a regular part of our service area. We’re honored to get to be a part of Hudson’s ongoing beautification, and we’re just as honored and thankful that we get to regularly visit our neighbors in the area.
If you live or work in Hudson and are in need of a trusted company to build your fence — whether it’s a simple chain-link fence or a charming lattice-top PVC fence — we hope you’ll give Northeastern Fences a call. We’d love to help!
Spending Time In Hudson
In our two plus decades in business, we’ve headed to Hudson time and again and have truly valued getting to know our Hudson clients and spending time in their hometown. A few of the things we’ve come to love in Hudson:
Wandering The Warren Street Area
Northeastern Fences is an independent, family-owned and -run business, so we have a particular draw toward and appreciation for other independent businesses. And the business district in Hudson on and around Warren Street offers so much to appreciate, from home goods shops to galleries and great restaurants. For anyone who appreciates antiques, Warren Street is an absolute gold mine — you can spend hours exploring furniture and other pieces that span decades of history. After a workday, it’s a fantastic place to spend some time — and going to Warren Street offers a chance to admire some of the incredible historic architecture in Hudson, too.
Attending Columbia County Council on the Arts’ Annual ArtsWalk
The Albany-Schenectady-Troy area is stocked with talented artists and craftspeople, and in the autumn, ArtsWalk puts a spotlight on the immense talent in and around Hudson. From painting, drawing and sculpture to performing arts, creativity is on display at the array of ArtsWalk events, and attending truly inspires pride in our area and in the talented folks who live and work here.
Visiting The Hudson Opera House And Winter Walk
The building that houses the Hudson Opera House is itself a prized piece of Hudson (and New York) history — built in 1855, it’s the former Hudson City Hall, and it houses the state’s oldest (and still surviving) theater. The programs at the Opera House span from music and theater to visual art exhibitions, but there’s a lot to love even outside the doors. The Hudson Opera House Winter Walk on Warren Street is a perfect annual family tradition that really gets you into the holiday spirit — from the festive decorated shops and streets to carolers, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, and even fireworks. Attending the Winter Walk is free, but seeing the wonder that the event inspires in kids’ faces is absolutely priceless.
