Spending Time In Clifton Park
Clifton Park’s location makes it a convenient and beautiful place to be, from the general charm of the town itself to the quick jumps to Albany just south and Saratoga just north. Heading to Clifton Park regularly over more than two decades in business, we’ve come across a lot to like there — and we’re glad that we continually get the opportunity to learn more.
A Few Of Our Favorite Things To Do In Clifton Park:
Hiking And Exploring Clifton Park Nature Preserves – Southern Saratoga’s natural beauty is one of the area’s most irresistible attributes, and Clifton Park has several nature preserves that allow you to peacefully and purposefully take it in. These include the North Woods Preserve off Shadow Wood Way, the larger, 250-acre Dwaas Kill Nature Preserve between Kinns and Pierce Roads, and the Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve along the Mohawk River, with some 450 acres for fishing, bird watching and beautiful, peaceful appreciation.
Stopping At The Historic Grooms Tavern – The history of Grooms Tavern stretches back to (and even beyond) the formation of Clifton Park in the early 1800s. At various points, the property housed a grocery, an inn and tavern, and a country and general store. But today, it’s under the stewardship of the town, and stands as a historic and cultural center that gives us a window into the past and a place to build toward the future. It regularly hosts everything from live music to classes on practical skills and Clifton Park history.
Enjoying Clifton Park Sports – Enjoy a space to skate and play hockey at the Clifton Park Ice Arena; play baseball or soccer at Clifton Common; or hit the softball fields at Veterans Memorial Park! Whatever activity you prefer, there are plenty of opportunities to play in Clifton Park.
